Dungeons & Dragons: Critical Role Call of the Netherdeep at Karwind’s Collectibles

You thought your party was the obvious choice to save the day. Then another group arrived with better introductions, cleaner equipment, and an irritating habit of being competent. The adventure has barely begun, and you already have competition.

Critical Role: Call of the Netherdeep is a full adventure set in Exandria. It brings a rival adventuring party into the story, visits Ank’Harel, and leads toward an underwater realm where wondrous discoveries and darker dangers meet.

The Other Heroes Have Plans Too

Recurring rivals give a DM characters who can change alongside the party. They can admire a success, resent a slight, or arrive with their own interpretation of what happened.

For players, that creates something more interesting than an endless sequence of strangers. The next encounter may come with history, and the choices made in an earlier conversation can carry emotional weight.

Explore Without Recreating the Show

Fans of Critical Role can enjoy visiting Exandria, but your group does not have to imitate a familiar cast. Build characters with their own hopes and let the campaign become their story.

Our table idea: ask each player what kind of rival would bring out their character’s best qualities, and what kind would bring out their worst. Use those answers to guide roleplaying moments while leaving the actual relationships to develop at the table.

A Campaign With Depth

The book combines travel, relationships, mystery, and underwater adventure. It suits a group that wants recurring NPCs to matter and a DM willing to give conversations space alongside action.

Before beginning, connect the heroes to one another. It helps to know why your party stays together when somebody else starts claiming the credit.

Learn your rivals’ names. Watch the water. Decide what being a hero means when other people are watching.
