Karwind's Collectibles: D&D Miniatures Spotlight

Some sets you pull for the new monsters. Others feel like running into an old friend. D&D Icons of the Realms: Monster Menagerie Revisited does both. It brings back an old favorite with fresh paint and adds a few creatures that never made it into the original. We've been having fun sorting through it here in the shop, and these three figures stood out.

About the Set

Monster Menagerie Revisited hit stores in February 2026 (the fan site Dungeons & Dragons Fan reported a February 18 street date). As the name says, it revisits WizKids' Monster Menagerie set from 2016, which was one of their best-selling Icons of the Realms sets. Some returning figures got new paint, and new monsters were added, including the Yeth Hound and the Gorgon. A 10-booster brick (four minis per booster) retails for $199.90.

Sources don't agree on the exact figure count. Reports range from 48 to "almost 50" to 51, depending on whether you count the color variants. Going by Miniature Market's single listings, there are 46 numbered figures plus variants, and the rarities break down like this:

  • Commons: 14 figures, including the Meenlock, Quasit, Grung, Jackalwere, Snow Golem, and a Swarm of Rot Grubs.

  • Uncommons: 24 listings (with color variants of the Griffon, Equinal Guardinal, Slaad, and Barlgura), including the Neogi, Hell Hound, Drow Mage, Yochlol, Gorgon, and Yeth Hound.

  • Rares: 12 figures, including the White Abishai, Couatl, Devourer, Sapphire Dragon Wyrmling, Young Lunar Dragon, and the Septon Modron.

Miniature Market also lists an "invisible" Eater of Knowledge variant marked UR (ultra rare). We couldn't confirm it with WizKids, so think of it as a fun rumor. We haven't seen a formal review of the set yet.

Erinyes (#41, Rare)

Erinyes, Monster Menagerie Revisited #41

Erinyes are fallen angels turned devils: fierce warriors who hunt down anyone who breaks a deal with the Nine Hells. This figure gets that across perfectly. Big red wings, dark armor, and a looping rope held high, ready to drag someone back to Hell.

Why collectors want her: Going by other retailers' prices, she's one of the most sought-after Rares in the set. Erinyes are popular villains, and this is a striking sculpt.

At the table: Use her for a devil sent to collect a debt, a bounty hunter from the Nine Hells, or a fallen celestial with a grudge. She's great for any campaign with infernal contracts.

Eyedrake (#44, Rare)

Eyedrake, Monster Menagerie Revisited #44

This is one tall figure. The Eyedrake stands about 97mm tall on a 50mm base (per Miniature Market), with a long, curled serpent's tail holding it up and golden-brown wings spread above its head. It looks like it's rising out of the ground to strike, and it really grabs attention on a shelf.

Why collectors want it: It's one of the biggest, most dramatic figures in the set, and it's not a creature you see a lot of minis for. It also shows off the set's new paint really well.

At the table: Use it as a strange draconic beast for a wizard's lair, the "boss" of a wilderness encounter, or any oddball dragon cousin you want to surprise players with.

Bullywug Royal (#39, Rare)

Bullywug Royal, Monster Menagerie Revisited #39

And now for something a little sillier. Bullywugs are frog-folk who love to play at being kings and nobles, and the Bullywug Royal sits at the very top of the pecking order. He's got a bright red cape, a proud stance, and that classic "I'm the most important frog in this swamp" attitude.

Why collectors want him: Bullywugs are a fan favorite, and a royal one is a fun centerpiece. He's a great match for the bullywug figures in WizKids' Ghost Light set, too.

At the table: Use him for the ruler of a bullywug village, a pompous NPC the party has to negotiate with, or a boss at the end of a swamp adventure. He's comic relief and a real threat at the same time.

We have a big selection from this set. Some highlights are the White Abishai, Couatl, Devourer, Young Lunar Dragon, Flind, both Griffon colors, and the Gorgon and Yeth Hound (both new to this version). Many come in sets of three too: Neogi, Drow Mages, Bullywug Knights, Green Slaad, and more. Browse our Monster Menagerie Revisited collection, or wander through the whole D&D Miniatures section.

Here's to old friends.
